Early morning jitters before the race are one of the most surprising things for people competing in their early fun runs. They never really go away. Learning to channel them in a positive and helpful way can have great benefits for your run.
And great benefits for Bec's run they did have! I was standing next to Bec about ten minutes after her run when she realised she had misread her strava and had completed the 7km in 6:49min/kms!! A champion effort and a big PB for Bec, this was really exciting!
Bec's highlight of the was her time, but it was closely followed by the free calf massage after the race, haha. A very well earned treatment for the legs!
Bec has some more runs coming this year, her first 10km kicks off in about 4weeks time in the Real Insurance Sydney Harbour 10km. Let's go, Bec!
